National Squash Day is on 7th April and Otago Squash Club will be open to the public from 11am - 3pm so grab your mates and come on down for a look. Club members will be there to show you around and rackets will be available so you can have a go - just bring some gear to run around in and non-marking shoes (if possible).
During February and March a re-energised Otago Squash club Business League was launched for a fast paced 4 week challenge. The focus was on introducing as many new players as possible to the game of squash and to show off our fantastic club, facilities and members.
A total of four teams took up the challenge, with Corrections NZ beating downie Downie Stewart Lawyers in a hard fought final. Ravensdown and Southern Community Labs played off for the minor placings and Ravensdown came out the victor.
Some great improvements were made by all teams with a number of players enjoying so much they have joined for the year!
Keep an eye out for the next social event to be hosted by Otago Squash Club. “Thirsty Thursday league” is open to existing members and non-members to try also. For more details see the poster further down the home page.
